Ocala Dog Training

Good Manners. Deeper Bonds. Happier Lives.

At Red Fern Pet Lodge, we understand that training isn’t something you can check off a list, but rather a lifelong commitment and ongoing conversation between you and your dog.

While a few sessions can introduce the basics, true success comes through consistency, reinforcement, and adapting to your dog’s changing needs over time. From puppyhood to the golden years, each stage of your dog’s life brings new opportunities to grow, connect, and strengthen your bond. That’s why we’re more than a training program; we’re your long-term partner in the lifetime care and well-being of your pet. Whether you're starting with the foundations or building on existing skills, we’re here to support you through every phase of your pet’s journey.

Introducing: Day School

A Manners Program at Red Fern Pet Lodge

A Balanced & Customized Approach

At Red Fern Pet Lodge, we understand that every dog learns at a unique pace. That’s why we begin each program by building a strong foundation of trust and clear communication.

Our daily routine blends training sessions, playtimes, and essential rest periods to support both mental focus and physical well-being. Playtime helps dogs release pent-up energy, making them more receptive to training, while rest allows them to recharge between play and learning sessions.

We use positive reinforcement methods to teach new behaviors, rewarding dogs with praise, kibble, or high value treats when they make the right choices.

Our training goals remain the same: to help dogs succeed by reinforcing the right behaviors and fostering a balanced, respectful, and rewarding relationship between pets and their people.

Day School Manners Curriculum

Recall, Come, Down, Sit, Stay, Loose Leash Walking, and Socialization

We can also address common household behaviors such as jumping, impolite greetings, counter-surfing, separation anxiety, or desensitization to specific people, places or things.

Our socialization training plays a key role in helping dogs build confidence around new people, other dogs, and unfamiliar situations, all within a safe and controlled environment.

We help dogs develop better focus and patience, and introduce them to various situations that enable them ot learn to read appropriate social cues, with the goal of safely participating in a group play setting so they have fun rather than feeling anxious or becoming defensive.

The more time we spend with your dog, the more we can accomplish and then pass along to you to maintain at home.
